Welcome to the Kufundisha Communiversity Institute
The Kufundisha Communiversity Institute offers an educational program designed to deepen the understanding of the African American sociohistorical experience, facilitate racial healing, and challenge myths about Black history and culture. Rooted in the tradition of community-based education, the program bridges the gap between academia and the community to foster Black pride, raise critical consciousness, and promote systemic change.

Bridging The Gaps
Program Structure
The program is structured as a multi-week institute with four levels of engagement, tailored to participants' knowledge and experience:

Beginner Experience
For those with little background in race, class, and gender issues who seek foundational understanding and potential solutions for a more just society.
2.
Intermediate Experience
For those with some knowledge who want a deeper exploration of social justice and strategies for change.
3.
Intermediate II Experience
For participants with advanced understanding, who are prepared to teach others and engage in community-based solutions.
4.
Advanced Experience
For individuals with mastery of racial and social justice issues, looking to develop programs, engage in policy work, or lead community organizing efforts.
